How Programmatic SEO Works
Programmatic SEO relies on a data source (database, spreadsheet, API) and a page template. For each row in the data source, the template generates a unique page targeting a specific keyword variation.
Examples: a job board generates one page per job type per city ("software engineer jobs Dubai," "software engineer jobs Abu Dhabi"). A real estate site generates one page per property type per community ("studio apartments Dubai Marina," "studio apartments JLT"). A comparison site generates one page per software combination ("Salesforce vs HubSpot for real estate Dubai").
What Makes Programmatic SEO Work
The key distinction between successful programmatic SEO and thin content spam is genuine utility. Each generated page must answer a real search query with information the searcher actually needs. Programmatic pages that repeat the same content with place names or categories swapped are identified as spam.
At Prezlo and in my own programmatic SEO work, every page template is designed to surface genuinely different and useful information for each data combination. The data source itself contains the unique value, and the template structures it effectively.
Programmatic SEO for UAE Businesses
UAE businesses with large product catalogues, multiple service areas, or extensive location coverage are natural candidates for programmatic SEO. Property portals, job boards, restaurant directories, and multi-location service businesses can all use programmatic approaches to cover their full offering without manually writing hundreds of pages.
The technical implementation varies by platform: WordPress with custom post types, Webflow CMS, or headless CMS with static site generation are all viable approaches. The right choice depends on your existing stack and the dynamism of your underlying data.
