Digital marketing in Dubai for SaaS and B2B software

By Lopty Pascal · Last reviewed

B2B software is sold to a group of people over months, not to one person in a day. Marketing has to reach the right accounts, give each role what it needs to say yes, and stay connected to the sales pipeline so that budget follows revenue.

I have worked in software marketing, including as an employee at SAP and at Google, and I built a SaaS product myself, so this is a sector I approach from experience.

What is different about this sector

  • Long sales cycles: the advert and the signed contract can be a year apart.
  • Several decision makers: a user, a technical evaluator, a finance approver.
  • Small audiences: a few hundred target companies, not a mass market.
  • High deal values, so a handful of good opportunities justifies the whole budget.
  • In the Gulf, procurement often favours vendors with local presence and references.

How I approach it

  • An agreed list of target accounts and roles, built with sales.
  • Search campaigns on problem and category terms, with negative keywords to remove students and job seekers.
  • Content for each stage: the problem, the options, the proof, the implementation.
  • LinkedIn for reaching named accounts and roles.
  • CRM integration, so campaigns are judged on pipeline and closed revenue.
  • Reporting by account, not only by lead.

Where AI SEO and GEO fit

Software buyers were early adopters of assistants for vendor research. They ask for shortlists and comparisons. Being named depends on clear product positioning, documentation that can be read by crawlers, and presence on independent review and comparison sites. This is where AI SEO and GEO pays back fastest in my view.

What this will not do

  • Marketing will not shorten a procurement process.
  • Lead volume means little here. Ten wrong leads are worse than one right account.
  • It will not work if sales and marketing do not share data.

Frequently asked questions

How long before B2B software marketing shows results?
Early signs such as engaged target accounts appear in weeks. Revenue follows the sales cycle, which is often many months.
Is Google Ads or LinkedIn better for B2B software?
Search captures existing demand; LinkedIn reaches named accounts and roles. Most programmes need both, judged on pipeline.
Has Lopty Pascal worked with enterprise software companies?
Yes. He has worked as an employee at SAP and at Google, and has handled projects for software companies including AuditBOT.
